Tafsir of verse (58) from Surah Al-Anbiya
﴿ فَجَعَلَهُم جُذٰذًا إِلّا كَبيرًا لَهُم لَعَلَّهُم إِلَيهِ يَرجِعونَ ﴾
So he made them into fragments, except a large one among them, that they might return to it [and question].
Tafsir of verse (59) from Surah Al-Anbiya
﴿ قالوا مَن فَعَلَ هٰذا بِـٔالِهَتِنا إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الظّٰلِمينَ ﴾
They said, "Who has done this to our gods? Indeed, he is of the wrongdoers."
Tafsir of verse (60) from Surah Al-Anbiya
﴿ قالوا سَمِعنا فَتًى يَذكُرُهُم يُقالُ لَهُ إِبرٰهيمُ ﴾
They said, "We heard a young man mention them who is called Abraham."
Tafsir of verse (61) from Surah Al-Anbiya
﴿ قالوا فَأتوا بِهِ عَلىٰ أَعيُنِ النّاسِ لَعَلَّهُم يَشهَدونَ ﴾
They said, "Then bring him before the eyes of the people that they may testify."
Tafsir of verse (62) from Surah Al-Anbiya
﴿ قالوا ءَأَنتَ فَعَلتَ هٰذا بِـٔالِهَتِنا يٰإِبرٰهيمُ ﴾
They said, "Have you done this to our gods, O Abraham?"
Tafsir of verse (63) from Surah Al-Anbiya
﴿ قالَ بَل فَعَلَهُ كَبيرُهُم هٰذا فَسـَٔلوهُم إِن كانوا يَنطِقونَ ﴾
He said, "Rather, this – the largest of them – did it, so ask them, if they should [be able to] speak."
Tafsir of verse (64) from Surah Al-Anbiya
﴿ فَرَجَعوا إِلىٰ أَنفُسِهِم فَقالوا إِنَّكُم أَنتُمُ الظّٰلِمونَ ﴾
So they returned to [blaming] themselves and said [to each other], "Indeed, you are the wrongdoers."
Tafsir of verse (65) from Surah Al-Anbiya
﴿ ثُمَّ نُكِسوا عَلىٰ رُءوسِهِم لَقَد عَلِمتَ ما هٰؤُلاءِ يَنطِقونَ ﴾
Then they reversed themselves, [saying], "You have already known that these do not speak!"
Tafsir of verse (66) from Surah Al-Anbiya
﴿ قالَ أَفَتَعبُدونَ مِن دونِ اللَّهِ ما لا يَنفَعُكُم شَيـًٔا وَلا يَضُرُّكُم ﴾
He said, "Then do you worship instead of Allah that which does not benefit you at all or harm you?
Tafsir of verse (67) from Surah Al-Anbiya
﴿ أُفٍّ لَكُم وَلِما تَعبُدونَ مِن دونِ اللَّهِ ۖ أَفَلا تَعقِلونَ ﴾
Uff to you and to what you worship instead of Allah. Then will you not use reason?"
Tafsir of verse (68) from Surah Al-Anbiya
﴿ قالوا حَرِّقوهُ وَانصُروا ءالِهَتَكُم إِن كُنتُم فٰعِلينَ ﴾
They said, "Burn him and support your gods – if you are to act."
Tafsir of verse (69) from Surah Al-Anbiya
﴿ قُلنا يٰنارُ كونى بَردًا وَسَلٰمًا عَلىٰ إِبرٰهيمَ ﴾
We [i.e., Allah] said, "O fire, be coolness and safety upon Abraham."
Tafsir of verse (70) from Surah Al-Anbiya
﴿ وَأَرادوا بِهِ كَيدًا فَجَعَلنٰهُمُ الأَخسَرينَ ﴾
And they intended for him a plan [i.e., harm], but We made them the greatest losers.
Tafsir of verse (71) from Surah Al-Anbiya
﴿ وَنَجَّينٰهُ وَلوطًا إِلَى الأَرضِ الَّتى بٰرَكنا فيها لِلعٰلَمينَ ﴾
And We delivered him and Lot to the land which We had blessed for the worlds [i.e., peoples].
Tafsir of verse (72) from Surah Al-Anbiya
﴿ وَوَهَبنا لَهُ إِسحٰقَ وَيَعقوبَ نافِلَةً ۖ وَكُلًّا جَعَلنا صٰلِحينَ ﴾
And We gave him Isaac and Jacob in addition, and all [of them] We made righteous.
