Tafsir of verse (105) from Surah Al-Muminun
﴿ أَلَم تَكُن ءايٰتى تُتلىٰ عَلَيكُم فَكُنتُم بِها تُكَذِّبونَ ﴾
[It will be said], "Were not My verses recited to you and you used to deny them?"
Tafsir of verse (106) from Surah Al-Muminun
﴿ قالوا رَبَّنا غَلَبَت عَلَينا شِقوَتُنا وَكُنّا قَومًا ضالّينَ ﴾
They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray.
Tafsir of verse (107) from Surah Al-Muminun
﴿ رَبَّنا أَخرِجنا مِنها فَإِن عُدنا فَإِنّا ظٰلِمونَ ﴾
Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers."
Tafsir of verse (108) from Surah Al-Muminun
﴿ قالَ اخسَـٔوا فيها وَلا تُكَلِّمونِ ﴾
He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me.
Tafsir of verse (109) from Surah Al-Muminun
﴿ إِنَّهُ كانَ فَريقٌ مِن عِبادى يَقولونَ رَبَّنا ءامَنّا فَاغفِر لَنا وَارحَمنا وَأَنتَ خَيرُ الرّٰحِمينَ ﴾
Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, 'Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.'
Tafsir of verse (110) from Surah Al-Muminun
﴿ فَاتَّخَذتُموهُم سِخرِيًّا حَتّىٰ أَنسَوكُم ذِكرى وَكُنتُم مِنهُم تَضحَكونَ ﴾
But you took them in mockery to the point that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them.
Tafsir of verse (111) from Surah Al-Muminun
﴿ إِنّى جَزَيتُهُمُ اليَومَ بِما صَبَروا أَنَّهُم هُمُ الفائِزونَ ﴾
Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance – that they are the attainers [of success]."
Tafsir of verse (112) from Surah Al-Muminun
﴿ قٰلَ كَم لَبِثتُم فِى الأَرضِ عَدَدَ سِنينَ ﴾
[Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?"
Tafsir of verse (113) from Surah Al-Muminun
﴿ قالوا لَبِثنا يَومًا أَو بَعضَ يَومٍ فَسـَٔلِ العادّينَ ﴾
They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate."
Tafsir of verse (114) from Surah Al-Muminun
﴿ قٰلَ إِن لَبِثتُم إِلّا قَليلًا ۖ لَو أَنَّكُم كُنتُم تَعلَمونَ ﴾
He will say, "You stayed not but a little – if only you had known.
Tafsir of verse (115) from Surah Al-Muminun
﴿ أَفَحَسِبتُم أَنَّما خَلَقنٰكُم عَبَثًا وَأَنَّكُم إِلَينا لا تُرجَعونَ ﴾
Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?"
Tafsir of verse (116) from Surah Al-Muminun
﴿ فَتَعٰلَى اللَّهُ المَلِكُ الحَقُّ ۖ لا إِلٰهَ إِلّا هُوَ رَبُّ العَرشِ الكَريمِ ﴾
So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne.
Tafsir of verse (117) from Surah Al-Muminun
﴿ وَمَن يَدعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلٰهًا ءاخَرَ لا بُرهٰنَ لَهُ بِهِ فَإِنَّما حِسابُهُ عِندَ رَبِّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لا يُفلِحُ الكٰفِرونَ ﴾
And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof – then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed.
Tafsir of verse (118) from Surah Al-Muminun
﴿ وَقُل رَبِّ اغفِر وَارحَم وَأَنتَ خَيرُ الرّٰحِمينَ ﴾
And, [O Muhammad], say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful."
