Tafsir of verse (1) from Surah Ya-Sin
﴿ يس ﴾
Ya-Sin
Tafsir of verse (2) from Surah Ya-Sin
﴿ وَالقُرءانِ الحَكيمِ ﴾
By the wise Quran.
Tafsir of verse (3) from Surah Ya-Sin
﴿ إِنَّكَ لَمِنَ المُرسَلينَ ﴾
Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers.
Tafsir of verse (4) from Surah Ya-Sin
﴿ عَلىٰ صِرٰطٍ مُستَقيمٍ ﴾
On a straight path.
Tafsir of verse (5) from Surah Ya-Sin
﴿ تَنزيلَ العَزيزِ الرَّحيمِ ﴾
[This is] a revelation of the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
Tafsir of verse (6) from Surah Ya-Sin
﴿ لِتُنذِرَ قَومًا ما أُنذِرَ ءاباؤُهُم فَهُم غٰفِلونَ ﴾
That you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are unaware.
Tafsir of verse (7) from Surah Ya-Sin
﴿ لَقَد حَقَّ القَولُ عَلىٰ أَكثَرِهِم فَهُم لا يُؤمِنونَ ﴾
Already the word [i.e., decree] has come into effect upon most of them, so they do not believe.
Tafsir of verse (8) from Surah Ya-Sin
﴿ إِنّا جَعَلنا فى أَعنٰقِهِم أَغلٰلًا فَهِىَ إِلَى الأَذقانِ فَهُم مُقمَحونَ ﴾
Indeed, We have put shackles on their necks, and they are to their chins, so they are with heads [kept] aloft.
Tafsir of verse (9) from Surah Ya-Sin
﴿ وَجَعَلنا مِن بَينِ أَيديهِم سَدًّا وَمِن خَلفِهِم سَدًّا فَأَغشَينٰهُم فَهُم لا يُبصِرونَ ﴾
And We have put before them a barrier and behind them a barrier and covered them, so they do not see.
Tafsir of verse (10) from Surah Ya-Sin
﴿ وَسَواءٌ عَلَيهِم ءَأَنذَرتَهُم أَم لَم تُنذِرهُم لا يُؤمِنونَ ﴾
And it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them – they will not believe.
Tafsir of verse (11) from Surah Ya-Sin
﴿ إِنَّما تُنذِرُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الذِّكرَ وَخَشِىَ الرَّحمٰنَ بِالغَيبِ ۖ فَبَشِّرهُ بِمَغفِرَةٍ وَأَجرٍ كَريمٍ ﴾
You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward.
Tafsir of verse (12) from Surah Ya-Sin
﴿ إِنّا نَحنُ نُحىِ المَوتىٰ وَنَكتُبُ ما قَدَّموا وَءاثٰرَهُم ۚ وَكُلَّ شَيءٍ أَحصَينٰهُ فى إِمامٍ مُبينٍ ﴾
Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear register.
