Tafsir of verse (62) from Surah Sad
﴿ وَقالوا ما لَنا لا نَرىٰ رِجالًا كُنّا نَعُدُّهُم مِنَ الأَشرارِ ﴾
And they will say, "Why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst?
Tafsir of verse (63) from Surah Sad
﴿ أَتَّخَذنٰهُم سِخرِيًّا أَم زاغَت عَنهُمُ الأَبصٰرُ ﴾
Is it [because] we took them in ridicule, or has [our] vision turned away from them?"
Tafsir of verse (64) from Surah Sad
﴿ إِنَّ ذٰلِكَ لَحَقٌّ تَخاصُمُ أَهلِ النّارِ ﴾
Indeed, that is truth [i.e., reality] – the quarreling of the people of the Fire.
Tafsir of verse (65) from Surah Sad
﴿ قُل إِنَّما أَنا۠ مُنذِرٌ ۖ وَما مِن إِلٰهٍ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الوٰحِدُ القَهّارُ ﴾
Say, [O Muhammad], "I am only a warner, and there is not any deity except Allah, the One, the Prevailing.
Tafsir of verse (66) from Surah Sad
﴿ رَبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ وَما بَينَهُمَا العَزيزُ الغَفّٰرُ ﴾
Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver."
Tafsir of verse (67) from Surah Sad
﴿ قُل هُوَ نَبَؤٌا۟ عَظيمٌ ﴾
Say, "It is great news.
Tafsir of verse (68) from Surah Sad
﴿ أَنتُم عَنهُ مُعرِضونَ ﴾
From which you turn away.
Tafsir of verse (69) from Surah Sad
﴿ ما كانَ لِىَ مِن عِلمٍ بِالمَلَإِ الأَعلىٰ إِذ يَختَصِمونَ ﴾
I had no knowledge of the exalted assembly [of angels] when they were disputing [the creation of Adam].
Tafsir of verse (70) from Surah Sad
﴿ إِن يوحىٰ إِلَىَّ إِلّا أَنَّما أَنا۠ نَذيرٌ مُبينٌ ﴾
It has not been revealed to me except that I am a clear warner."
Tafsir of verse (71) from Surah Sad
﴿ إِذ قالَ رَبُّكَ لِلمَلٰئِكَةِ إِنّى خٰلِقٌ بَشَرًا مِن طينٍ ﴾
[So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay.
Tafsir of verse (72) from Surah Sad
﴿ فَإِذا سَوَّيتُهُ وَنَفَختُ فيهِ مِن روحى فَقَعوا لَهُ سٰجِدينَ ﴾
So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration."
Tafsir of verse (73) from Surah Sad
﴿ فَسَجَدَ المَلٰئِكَةُ كُلُّهُم أَجمَعونَ ﴾
So the angels prostrated – all of them entirely.
Tafsir of verse (74) from Surah Sad
﴿ إِلّا إِبليسَ استَكبَرَ وَكانَ مِنَ الكٰفِرينَ ﴾
Except Iblees; he was arrogant and became among the disbelievers.
Tafsir of verse (75) from Surah Sad
﴿ قالَ يٰإِبليسُ ما مَنَعَكَ أَن تَسجُدَ لِما خَلَقتُ بِيَدَىَّ ۖ أَستَكبَرتَ أَم كُنتَ مِنَ العالينَ ﴾
[Allah] said, "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty?"
Tafsir of verse (76) from Surah Sad
﴿ قالَ أَنا۠ خَيرٌ مِنهُ ۖ خَلَقتَنى مِن نارٍ وَخَلَقتَهُ مِن طينٍ ﴾
He said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay."
Tafsir of verse (77) from Surah Sad
﴿ قالَ فَاخرُج مِنها فَإِنَّكَ رَجيمٌ ﴾
[Allah] said, "Then get out of it [i.e., Paradise], for indeed, you are expelled.
Tafsir of verse (78) from Surah Sad
﴿ وَإِنَّ عَلَيكَ لَعنَتى إِلىٰ يَومِ الدّينِ ﴾
And indeed, upon you is My curse until the Day of Recompense."
Tafsir of verse (79) from Surah Sad
﴿ قالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرنى إِلىٰ يَومِ يُبعَثونَ ﴾
He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected."
Tafsir of verse (80) from Surah Sad
﴿ قالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ المُنظَرينَ ﴾
[Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved.
Tafsir of verse (81) from Surah Sad
﴿ إِلىٰ يَومِ الوَقتِ المَعلومِ ﴾
Until the Day of the time well-known."
Tafsir of verse (82) from Surah Sad
﴿ قالَ فَبِعِزَّتِكَ لَأُغوِيَنَّهُم أَجمَعينَ ﴾
[Iblees] said, "By Your might, I will surely mislead them all.
Tafsir of verse (83) from Surah Sad
﴿ إِلّا عِبادَكَ مِنهُمُ المُخلَصينَ ﴾
Except, among them, Your chosen servants."
