Tafsir of verse (1) from Surah Ad-Dukhan
﴿ حمٓ ﴾
Ha, Meem
Tafsir of verse (2) from Surah Ad-Dukhan
﴿ وَٱلْكِتَٰبِ ٱلْمُبِينِ ﴾
By the clear Book.
Tafsir of verse (3) from Surah Ad-Dukhan
﴿ إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةٍۢ مُّبَٰرَكَةٍ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُنذِرِينَ ﴾
Indeed, We sent it down during a blessed night. Indeed, We were to warn [mankind].
Tafsir of verse (4) from Surah Ad-Dukhan
﴿ فِيهَا يُفْرَقُ كُلُّ أَمْرٍ حَكِيمٍ ﴾
Therein [i.e., on that night] is made distinct every precise matter.
Tafsir of verse (5) from Surah Ad-Dukhan
﴿ أَمْرًۭا مِّنْ عِندِنَآ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُرْسِلِينَ ﴾
[Every] matter [proceeding] from Us. Indeed, We were to send [a messenger].
Tafsir of verse (6) from Surah Ad-Dukhan
﴿ رَحْمَةًۭ مِّن رَّبِّكَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ﴾
As mercy from your Lord. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
Tafsir of verse (7) from Surah Ad-Dukhan
﴿ رَبِّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ ۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ ﴾
Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them, if you would be certain.
Tafsir of verse (8) from Surah Ad-Dukhan
﴿ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ ۖ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴾
There is no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death. [He is] your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers.
Tafsir of verse (9) from Surah Ad-Dukhan
﴿ بَلْ هُمْ فِى شَكٍّۢ يَلْعَبُونَ ﴾
But they are in doubt, amusing themselves.
Tafsir of verse (10) from Surah Ad-Dukhan
﴿ فَٱرْتَقِبْ يَوْمَ تَأْتِى ٱلسَّمَآءُ بِدُخَانٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ ﴾
Then watch for the Day when the sky will bring a visible smoke.
Tafsir of verse (11) from Surah Ad-Dukhan
﴿ يَغْشَى ٱلنَّاسَ ۖ هَٰذَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ ﴾
Covering the people; this is a painful torment.
Tafsir of verse (12) from Surah Ad-Dukhan
﴿ رَّبَّنَا ٱكْشِفْ عَنَّا ٱلْعَذَابَ إِنَّا مُؤْمِنُونَ ﴾
[They will say], "Our Lord, remove from us the torment; indeed, we are believers."
Tafsir of verse (13) from Surah Ad-Dukhan
﴿ أَنَّىٰ لَهُمُ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ وَقَدْ جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ ﴾
How will there be for them a reminder [at that time]? And there had come to them a clear Messenger.
Tafsir of verse (14) from Surah Ad-Dukhan
﴿ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوْا۟ عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا۟ مُعَلَّمٌۭ مَّجْنُونٌ ﴾
Then they turned away from him and said, "[He was] taught [and is] a madman."
Tafsir of verse (15) from Surah Ad-Dukhan
﴿ إِنَّا كَاشِفُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابِ قَلِيلًا ۚ إِنَّكُمْ عَآئِدُونَ ﴾
Indeed, We will remove the torment for a little. Indeed, you [disbelievers] will return [to disbelief].
Tafsir of verse (16) from Surah Ad-Dukhan
﴿ يَوْمَ نَبْطِشُ ٱلْبَطْشَةَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰٓ إِنَّا مُنتَقِمُونَ ﴾
The Day We will strike with the greatest assault, indeed, We will take retribution.
Tafsir of verse (17) from Surah Ad-Dukhan
﴿ ۞ وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَجَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌۭ كَرِيمٌ ﴾
And We had already tried before them the people of Pharaoh, and there came to them a noble messenger [i.e., Moses].
Tafsir of verse (18) from Surah Ad-Dukhan
﴿ أَنْ أَدُّوٓا۟ إِلَىَّ عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ ﴾
[Saying], "Render to me the servants of Allah. Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger,"
