Tafsir of verse (18) from Surah Al-Isra
﴿ مَن كانَ يُريدُ العاجِلَةَ عَجَّلنا لَهُ فيها ما نَشاءُ لِمَن نُريدُ ثُمَّ جَعَلنا لَهُ جَهَنَّمَ يَصلىٰها مَذمومًا مَدحورًا ﴾
Whoever should desire the immediate – We hasten for him from it what We will to whom We intend. Then We have made for him Hell, which he will [enter to] burn, censured and banished.
Tafsir of verse (19) from Surah Al-Isra
﴿ وَمَن أَرادَ الءاخِرَةَ وَسَعىٰ لَها سَعيَها وَهُوَ مُؤمِنٌ فَأُولٰئِكَ كانَ سَعيُهُم مَشكورًا ﴾
But whoever desires the Hereafter and exerts the effort due to it while he is a believer – it is those whose effort is ever appreciated [by Allah].
Tafsir of verse (20) from Surah Al-Isra
﴿ كُلًّا نُمِدُّ هٰؤُلاءِ وَهٰؤُلاءِ مِن عَطاءِ رَبِّكَ ۚ وَما كانَ عَطاءُ رَبِّكَ مَحظورًا ﴾
To each [category] We extend – to these and to those – from the gift of your Lord. And never has the gift of your Lord been restricted.
Tafsir of verse (21) from Surah Al-Isra
﴿ انظُر كَيفَ فَضَّلنا بَعضَهُم عَلىٰ بَعضٍ ۚ وَلَلءاخِرَةُ أَكبَرُ دَرَجٰتٍ وَأَكبَرُ تَفضيلًا ﴾
Look how We have favored [in provision] some of them over others. But the Hereafter is greater in degrees [of difference] and greater in distinction.
Tafsir of verse (22) from Surah Al-Isra
﴿ لا تَجعَل مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلٰهًا ءاخَرَ فَتَقعُدَ مَذمومًا مَخذولًا ﴾
Do not make [as equal] with Allah another deity and [thereby] become censured and forsaken.
Tafsir of verse (23) from Surah Al-Isra
﴿ ۞ وَقَضىٰ رَبُّكَ أَلّا تَعبُدوا إِلّا إِيّاهُ وَبِالوٰلِدَينِ إِحسٰنًا ۚ إِمّا يَبلُغَنَّ عِندَكَ الكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُما أَو كِلاهُما فَلا تَقُل لَهُما أُفٍّ وَلا تَنهَرهُما وَقُل لَهُما قَولًا كَريمًا ﴾
And your Lord has decreed that you worship not except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff," and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word.
Tafsir of verse (24) from Surah Al-Isra
﴿ وَاخفِض لَهُما جَناحَ الذُّلِّ مِنَ الرَّحمَةِ وَقُل رَبِّ ارحَمهُما كَما رَبَّيانى صَغيرًا ﴾
And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, "My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small."
Tafsir of verse (25) from Surah Al-Isra
﴿ رَبُّكُم أَعلَمُ بِما فى نُفوسِكُم ۚ إِن تَكونوا صٰلِحينَ فَإِنَّهُ كانَ لِلأَوّٰبينَ غَفورًا ﴾
Your Lord is most knowing of what is within yourselves. If you should be righteous [in intention] – then indeed He is ever, to the often returning [to Him], Forgiving.
Tafsir of verse (26) from Surah Al-Isra
﴿ وَءاتِ ذَا القُربىٰ حَقَّهُ وَالمِسكينَ وَابنَ السَّبيلِ وَلا تُبَذِّر تَبذيرًا ﴾
And give the relative his right, and [also] the poor and the traveler, and do not spend wastefully.
Tafsir of verse (27) from Surah Al-Isra
﴿ إِنَّ المُبَذِّرينَ كانوا إِخوٰنَ الشَّيٰطينِ ۖ وَكانَ الشَّيطٰنُ لِرَبِّهِ كَفورًا ﴾
Indeed, the wasteful are brothers of the devils, and ever has Satan been to his Lord ungrateful.
