Tafsir of verse (61) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ فَلَمّا تَرٰءَا الجَمعانِ قالَ أَصحٰبُ موسىٰ إِنّا لَمُدرَكونَ ﴾
And when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken!"
Tafsir of verse (62) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ قالَ كَلّا ۖ إِنَّ مَعِىَ رَبّى سَيَهدينِ ﴾
[Moses] said, "No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me."
Tafsir of verse (63) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ فَأَوحَينا إِلىٰ موسىٰ أَنِ اضرِب بِعَصاكَ البَحرَ ۖ فَانفَلَقَ فَكانَ كُلُّ فِرقٍ كَالطَّودِ العَظيمِ ﴾
Then We inspired to Moses, "Strike with your staff the sea," and it parted, and each portion was like a great towering mountain.
Tafsir of verse (64) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَأَزلَفنا ثَمَّ الءاخَرينَ ﴾
And We advanced thereto the others [i.e., the pursuers].
Tafsir of verse (65) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَأَنجَينا موسىٰ وَمَن مَعَهُ أَجمَعينَ ﴾
And We saved Moses and those with him, all together.
Tafsir of verse (66) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ ثُمَّ أَغرَقنَا الءاخَرينَ ﴾
Then We drowned the others.
Tafsir of verse (67) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ إِنَّ فى ذٰلِكَ لَءايَةً ۖ وَما كانَ أَكثَرُهُم مُؤمِنينَ ﴾
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
Tafsir of verse (68) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ العَزيزُ الرَّحيمُ ﴾
And indeed, your Lord – He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
Tafsir of verse (69) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَاتلُ عَلَيهِم نَبَأَ إِبرٰهيمَ ﴾
And recite to them the news of Abraham.
Tafsir of verse (70) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ إِذ قالَ لِأَبيهِ وَقَومِهِ ما تَعبُدونَ ﴾
When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?"
Tafsir of verse (71) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ قالوا نَعبُدُ أَصنامًا فَنَظَلُّ لَها عٰكِفينَ ﴾
They said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted."
Tafsir of verse (72) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ قالَ هَل يَسمَعونَكُم إِذ تَدعونَ ﴾
He said, "Do they hear you when you supplicate?
Tafsir of verse (73) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ أَو يَنفَعونَكُم أَو يَضُرّونَ ﴾
Or do they benefit you, or do they harm?"
Tafsir of verse (74) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ قالوا بَل وَجَدنا ءاباءَنا كَذٰلِكَ يَفعَلونَ ﴾
They said, "But we found our fathers doing thus."
Tafsir of verse (75) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ قالَ أَفَرَءَيتُم ما كُنتُم تَعبُدونَ ﴾
He said, "Then do you see what you have been worshipping.
Tafsir of verse (76) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ أَنتُم وَءاباؤُكُمُ الأَقدَمونَ ﴾
You and your ancient forefathers?
Tafsir of verse (77) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ فَإِنَّهُم عَدُوٌّ لى إِلّا رَبَّ العٰلَمينَ ﴾
Indeed, they are enemies to me, except the Lord of the worlds.
Tafsir of verse (78) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ الَّذى خَلَقَنى فَهُوَ يَهدينِ ﴾
Who created me, and He [it is who] guides me.
Tafsir of verse (79) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَالَّذى هُوَ يُطعِمُنى وَيَسقينِ ﴾
And it is He who feeds me and gives me drink.
Tafsir of verse (80) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَإِذا مَرِضتُ فَهُوَ يَشفينِ ﴾
And when I am ill, it is He who cures me.
Tafsir of verse (81) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَالَّذى يُميتُنى ثُمَّ يُحيينِ ﴾
And who will cause me to die and then bring me to life.
Tafsir of verse (82) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَالَّذى أَطمَعُ أَن يَغفِرَ لى خَطيـَٔتى يَومَ الدّينِ ﴾
And who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense."
Tafsir of verse (83) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ رَبِّ هَب لى حُكمًا وَأَلحِقنى بِالصّٰلِحينَ ﴾
[And he said], "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous.
