Tafsir of verse (207) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ ما أَغنىٰ عَنهُم ما كانوا يُمَتَّعونَ ﴾
They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided.
Tafsir of verse (208) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَما أَهلَكنا مِن قَريَةٍ إِلّا لَها مُنذِرونَ ﴾
And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners.
Tafsir of verse (209) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ ذِكرىٰ وَما كُنّا ظٰلِمينَ ﴾
As a reminder; and never have We been unjust.
Tafsir of verse (210) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَما تَنَزَّلَت بِهِ الشَّيٰطينُ ﴾
And the devils have not brought it [i.e., the revelation] down.
Tafsir of verse (211) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَما يَنبَغى لَهُم وَما يَستَطيعونَ ﴾
It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able.
Tafsir of verse (212) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ إِنَّهُم عَنِ السَّمعِ لَمَعزولونَ ﴾
Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed.
Tafsir of verse (213) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ فَلا تَدعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلٰهًا ءاخَرَ فَتَكونَ مِنَ المُعَذَّبينَ ﴾
So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished.
Tafsir of verse (214) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَأَنذِر عَشيرَتَكَ الأَقرَبينَ ﴾
And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred.
Tafsir of verse (215) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَاخفِض جَناحَكَ لِمَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ المُؤمِنينَ ﴾
And lower your wing [i.e., show kindness] to those who follow you of the believers.
Tafsir of verse (216) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ فَإِن عَصَوكَ فَقُل إِنّى بَريءٌ مِمّا تَعمَلونَ ﴾
And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing."
Tafsir of verse (217) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَتَوَكَّل عَلَى العَزيزِ الرَّحيمِ ﴾
And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
Tafsir of verse (218) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ الَّذى يَرىٰكَ حينَ تَقومُ ﴾
Who sees you when you arise.
Tafsir of verse (219) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِى السّٰجِدينَ ﴾
And your movement among those who prostrate.
Tafsir of verse (220) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّميعُ العَليمُ ﴾
Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
Tafsir of verse (221) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ هَل أُنَبِّئُكُم عَلىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ الشَّيٰطينُ ﴾
Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend?
Tafsir of verse (222) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ تَنَزَّلُ عَلىٰ كُلِّ أَفّاكٍ أَثيمٍ ﴾
They descend upon every sinful liar.
Tafsir of verse (223) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ يُلقونَ السَّمعَ وَأَكثَرُهُم كٰذِبونَ ﴾
They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars.
Tafsir of verse (224) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَالشُّعَراءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ الغاوۥنَ ﴾
And the poets – [only] the deviators follow them.
Tafsir of verse (225) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ أَلَم تَرَ أَنَّهُم فى كُلِّ وادٍ يَهيمونَ ﴾
Do you not see that in every valley they roam.
Tafsir of verse (226) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَأَنَّهُم يَقولونَ ما لا يَفعَلونَ ﴾
And that they say what they do not do?
Tafsir of verse (227) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ إِلَّا الَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ وَذَكَرُوا اللَّهَ كَثيرًا وَانتَصَروا مِن بَعدِ ما ظُلِموا ۗ وَسَيَعلَمُ الَّذينَ ظَلَموا أَىَّ مُنقَلَبٍ يَنقَلِبونَ ﴾
Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned.
