Tafsir of verse (112) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ قالَ وَما عِلمى بِما كانوا يَعمَلونَ ﴾
He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do?
Tafsir of verse (113) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ إِن حِسابُهُم إِلّا عَلىٰ رَبّى ۖ لَو تَشعُرونَ ﴾
Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive.
Tafsir of verse (114) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَما أَنا۠ بِطارِدِ المُؤمِنينَ ﴾
And I am not one to drive away the believers.
Tafsir of verse (115) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ إِن أَنا۠ إِلّا نَذيرٌ مُبينٌ ﴾
I am only a clear warner."
Tafsir of verse (116) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ قالوا لَئِن لَم تَنتَهِ يٰنوحُ لَتَكونَنَّ مِنَ المَرجومينَ ﴾
They said, "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be of those who are stoned."
Tafsir of verse (117) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ قالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَومى كَذَّبونِ ﴾
He said, "My Lord, indeed my people have denied me.
Tafsir of verse (118) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ فَافتَح بَينى وَبَينَهُم فَتحًا وَنَجِّنى وَمَن مَعِىَ مِنَ المُؤمِنينَ ﴾
Then judge between me and them with decisive judgement and save me and those with me of the believers."
Tafsir of verse (119) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ فَأَنجَينٰهُ وَمَن مَعَهُ فِى الفُلكِ المَشحونِ ﴾
So We saved him and those with him in the laden ship.
Tafsir of verse (120) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ ثُمَّ أَغرَقنا بَعدُ الباقينَ ﴾
Then We drowned thereafter the remaining ones.
Tafsir of verse (121) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ إِنَّ فى ذٰلِكَ لَءايَةً ۖ وَما كانَ أَكثَرُهُم مُؤمِنينَ ﴾
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
Tafsir of verse (122) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ العَزيزُ الرَّحيمُ ﴾
And indeed, your Lord – He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
Tafsir of verse (123) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ كَذَّبَت عادٌ المُرسَلينَ ﴾
Aad denied the messengers.
Tafsir of verse (124) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ إِذ قالَ لَهُم أَخوهُم هودٌ أَلا تَتَّقونَ ﴾
When their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?
Tafsir of verse (125) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ إِنّى لَكُم رَسولٌ أَمينٌ ﴾
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.
Tafsir of verse (126) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطيعونِ ﴾
So fear Allah and obey me.
Tafsir of verse (127) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَما أَسـَٔلُكُم عَلَيهِ مِن أَجرٍ ۖ إِن أَجرِىَ إِلّا عَلىٰ رَبِّ العٰلَمينَ ﴾
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.
Tafsir of verse (128) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ أَتَبنونَ بِكُلِّ ريعٍ ءايَةً تَعبَثونَ ﴾
Do you construct on every elevation a sign, amusing yourselves.
Tafsir of verse (129) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَتَتَّخِذونَ مَصانِعَ لَعَلَّكُم تَخلُدونَ ﴾
And take for yourselves constructions [i.e., palaces and fortresses] that you might abide eternally?
Tafsir of verse (130) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَإِذا بَطَشتُم بَطَشتُم جَبّارينَ ﴾
And when you strike, you strike as tyrants.
Tafsir of verse (131) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطيعونِ ﴾
So fear Allah and obey me.
Tafsir of verse (132) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَاتَّقُوا الَّذى أَمَدَّكُم بِما تَعلَمونَ ﴾
And fear He who provided you with that which you know.
Tafsir of verse (133) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ أَمَدَّكُم بِأَنعٰمٍ وَبَنينَ ﴾
Provided you with grazing livestock and children.
Tafsir of verse (134) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَجَنّٰتٍ وَعُيونٍ ﴾
And gardens and springs.
Tafsir of verse (135) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ إِنّى أَخافُ عَلَيكُم عَذابَ يَومٍ عَظيمٍ ﴾
Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day."
Tafsir of verse (136) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ قالوا سَواءٌ عَلَينا أَوَعَظتَ أَم لَم تَكُن مِنَ الوٰعِظينَ ﴾
They said, "It is all the same to us whether you advise or are not of the advisors.
