Tafsir of verse (160) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ كَذَّبَت قَومُ لوطٍ المُرسَلينَ ﴾
The people of Lot denied the messengers.
Tafsir of verse (161) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ إِذ قالَ لَهُم أَخوهُم لوطٌ أَلا تَتَّقونَ ﴾
When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?
Tafsir of verse (162) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ إِنّى لَكُم رَسولٌ أَمينٌ ﴾
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.
Tafsir of verse (163) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطيعونِ ﴾
So fear Allah and obey me.
Tafsir of verse (164) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَما أَسـَٔلُكُم عَلَيهِ مِن أَجرٍ ۖ إِن أَجرِىَ إِلّا عَلىٰ رَبِّ العٰلَمينَ ﴾
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.
Tafsir of verse (165) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ أَتَأتونَ الذُّكرانَ مِنَ العٰلَمينَ ﴾
Do you approach males among the worlds.
Tafsir of verse (166) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَتَذَرونَ ما خَلَقَ لَكُم رَبُّكُم مِن أَزوٰجِكُم ۚ بَل أَنتُم قَومٌ عادونَ ﴾
And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing."
Tafsir of verse (167) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ قالوا لَئِن لَم تَنتَهِ يٰلوطُ لَتَكونَنَّ مِنَ المُخرَجينَ ﴾
They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted."
Tafsir of verse (168) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ قالَ إِنّى لِعَمَلِكُم مِنَ القالينَ ﴾
He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it].
Tafsir of verse (169) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ رَبِّ نَجِّنى وَأَهلى مِمّا يَعمَلونَ ﴾
My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do."
Tafsir of verse (170) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ فَنَجَّينٰهُ وَأَهلَهُ أَجمَعينَ ﴾
So We saved him and his family, all.
Tafsir of verse (171) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ إِلّا عَجوزًا فِى الغٰبِرينَ ﴾
Except an old woman among those who remained behind.
Tafsir of verse (172) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ ثُمَّ دَمَّرنَا الءاخَرينَ ﴾
Then We destroyed the others.
Tafsir of verse (173) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَأَمطَرنا عَلَيهِم مَطَرًا ۖ فَساءَ مَطَرُ المُنذَرينَ ﴾
And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned.
Tafsir of verse (174) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ إِنَّ فى ذٰلِكَ لَءايَةً ۖ وَما كانَ أَكثَرُهُم مُؤمِنينَ ﴾
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
Tafsir of verse (175) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ العَزيزُ الرَّحيمُ ﴾
And indeed, your Lord – He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
Tafsir of verse (176) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ كَذَّبَ أَصحٰبُ لـَٔيكَةِ المُرسَلينَ ﴾
The companions of the thicket [i.e., the people of Madyan] denied the messengers.
Tafsir of verse (177) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ إِذ قالَ لَهُم شُعَيبٌ أَلا تَتَّقونَ ﴾
When Shuaib said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?
Tafsir of verse (178) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ إِنّى لَكُم رَسولٌ أَمينٌ ﴾

﴿ ۞ أَوفُوا الكَيلَ وَلا تَكونوا مِنَ المُخسِرينَ ﴾
Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss.
Tafsir of verse (182) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَزِنوا بِالقِسطاسِ المُستَقيمِ ﴾
And weigh with an even [i.e., honest] balance.
Tafsir of verse (183) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَلا تَبخَسُوا النّاسَ أَشياءَهُم وَلا تَعثَوا فِى الأَرضِ مُفسِدينَ ﴾
And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption.
