Tafsir of verse (52) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ يَقولُ أَءِنَّكَ لَمِنَ المُصَدِّقينَ ﴾
Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe.
Tafsir of verse (53) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ أَءِذا مِتنا وَكُنّا تُرابًا وَعِظٰمًا أَءِنّا لَمَدينونَ ﴾
That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed?'"
Tafsir of verse (54) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ قالَ هَل أَنتُم مُطَّلِعونَ ﴾
He will say, "Would you [care to] look?"
Tafsir of verse (55) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ فَاطَّلَعَ فَرَءاهُ فى سَواءِ الجَحيمِ ﴾
And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire.
Tafsir of verse (56) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ قالَ تَاللَّهِ إِن كِدتَ لَتُردينِ ﴾
He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me.
Tafsir of verse (57) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ وَلَولا نِعمَةُ رَبّى لَكُنتُ مِنَ المُحضَرينَ ﴾
If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell].
Tafsir of verse (58) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ أَفَما نَحنُ بِمَيِّتينَ ﴾
Then, are we not to die.
Tafsir of verse (59) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ إِلّا مَوتَتَنَا الأولىٰ وَما نَحنُ بِمُعَذَّبينَ ﴾
Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?"
Tafsir of verse (60) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ إِنَّ هٰذا لَهُوَ الفَوزُ العَظيمُ ﴾
Indeed, this is the great attainment.
Tafsir of verse (61) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ لِمِثلِ هٰذا فَليَعمَلِ العٰمِلونَ ﴾
For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work.
Tafsir of verse (62) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ أَذٰلِكَ خَيرٌ نُزُلًا أَم شَجَرَةُ الزَّقّومِ ﴾
Is that [i.e., Paradise] a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum?
Tafsir of verse (63) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ إِنّا جَعَلنٰها فِتنَةً لِلظّٰلِمينَ ﴾
Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers.
Tafsir of verse (64) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ إِنَّها شَجَرَةٌ تَخرُجُ فى أَصلِ الجَحيمِ ﴾
Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire.
Tafsir of verse (65) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ طَلعُها كَأَنَّهُ رُءوسُ الشَّيٰطينِ ﴾
Its emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils.
Tafsir of verse (66) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ فَإِنَّهُم لَءاكِلونَ مِنها فَمالِـٔونَ مِنهَا البُطونَ ﴾
And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies.
Tafsir of verse (67) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُم عَلَيها لَشَوبًا مِن حَميمٍ ﴾
Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water.
Tafsir of verse (68) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرجِعَهُم لَإِلَى الجَحيمِ ﴾
Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire.
Tafsir of verse (69) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ إِنَّهُم أَلفَوا ءاباءَهُم ضالّينَ ﴾
Indeed they found their fathers astray.
Tafsir of verse (70) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ فَهُم عَلىٰ ءاثٰرِهِم يُهرَعونَ ﴾
So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps.
Tafsir of verse (71) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ وَلَقَد ضَلَّ قَبلَهُم أَكثَرُ الأَوَّلينَ ﴾
And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples.
Tafsir of verse (72) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ وَلَقَد أَرسَلنا فيهِم مُنذِرينَ ﴾
And We had already sent among them warners.
Tafsir of verse (73) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ فَانظُر كَيفَ كانَ عٰقِبَةُ المُنذَرينَ ﴾
Then look how was the end of those who were warned.
Tafsir of verse (74) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ إِلّا عِبادَ اللَّهِ المُخلَصينَ ﴾
But not the chosen servants of Allah.
Tafsir of verse (75) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ وَلَقَد نادىٰنا نوحٌ فَلَنِعمَ المُجيبونَ ﴾
And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders.
Tafsir of verse (76) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ وَنَجَّينٰهُ وَأَهلَهُ مِنَ الكَربِ العَظيمِ ﴾
And We saved him and his family from the great affliction.
