Tafsir of verse (154) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ ما لَكُم كَيفَ تَحكُمونَ ﴾
What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement?
Tafsir of verse (155) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ أَفَلا تَذَكَّرونَ ﴾
Then will you not be reminded?
Tafsir of verse (156) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ أَم لَكُم سُلطٰنٌ مُبينٌ ﴾
Or do you have a clear authority?
Tafsir of verse (157) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ فَأتوا بِكِتٰبِكُم إِن كُنتُم صٰدِقينَ ﴾
Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful.
Tafsir of verse (158) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ وَجَعَلوا بَينَهُ وَبَينَ الجِنَّةِ نَسَبًا ۚ وَلَقَد عَلِمَتِ الجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُم لَمُحضَرونَ ﴾
And they have made [i.e., claimed] between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought [to punishment].
Tafsir of verse (159) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ سُبحٰنَ اللَّهِ عَمّا يَصِفونَ ﴾
Exalted is Allah above what they describe.
Tafsir of verse (160) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ إِلّا عِبادَ اللَّهِ المُخلَصينَ ﴾
Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin].
Tafsir of verse (161) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ فَإِنَّكُم وَما تَعبُدونَ ﴾
So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship.
Tafsir of verse (162) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ ما أَنتُم عَلَيهِ بِفٰتِنينَ ﴾
You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him.
Tafsir of verse (163) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ إِلّا مَن هُوَ صالِ الجَحيمِ ﴾
Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire.
Tafsir of verse (164) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ وَما مِنّا إِلّا لَهُ مَقامٌ مَعلومٌ ﴾
[The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position.
Tafsir of verse (165) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ وَإِنّا لَنَحنُ الصّافّونَ ﴾
And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer].
Tafsir of verse (166) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ وَإِنّا لَنَحنُ المُسَبِّحونَ ﴾
And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah."
Tafsir of verse (167) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ وَإِن كانوا لَيَقولونَ ﴾
And indeed, they [i.e., the disbelievers] used to say.
Tafsir of verse (168) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ لَو أَنَّ عِندَنا ذِكرًا مِنَ الأَوَّلينَ ﴾
"If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples.
Tafsir of verse (169) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ لَكُنّا عِبادَ اللَّهِ المُخلَصينَ ﴾
We would have been the chosen servants of Allah."
Tafsir of verse (170) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ فَكَفَروا بِهِ ۖ فَسَوفَ يَعلَمونَ ﴾
But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know.
Tafsir of verse (171) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ وَلَقَد سَبَقَت كَلِمَتُنا لِعِبادِنَا المُرسَلينَ ﴾
And Our word [i.e., decree] has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers.
Tafsir of verse (172) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ إِنَّهُم لَهُمُ المَنصورونَ ﴾
[That] indeed, they would be those given victory.
Tafsir of verse (173) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ وَإِنَّ جُندَنا لَهُمُ الغٰلِبونَ ﴾
And [that] indeed, Our soldiers [i.e., the believers] will be those who overcome.
Tafsir of verse (174) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ فَتَوَلَّ عَنهُم حَتّىٰ حينٍ ﴾
So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time.
Tafsir of verse (175) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ وَأَبصِرهُم فَسَوفَ يُبصِرونَ ﴾
And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see.
Tafsir of verse (176) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ أَفَبِعَذابِنا يَستَعجِلونَ ﴾
Then for Our punishment are they impatient?
Tafsir of verse (177) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ فَإِذا نَزَلَ بِساحَتِهِم فَساءَ صَباحُ المُنذَرينَ ﴾
But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned.
Tafsir of verse (178) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ وَتَوَلَّ عَنهُم حَتّىٰ حينٍ ﴾
And leave them for a time.
Tafsir of verse (179) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ وَأَبصِر فَسَوفَ يُبصِرونَ ﴾
And see, for they are going to see.
Tafsir of verse (180) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ سُبحٰنَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ العِزَّةِ عَمّا يَصِفونَ ﴾
Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe.
Tafsir of verse (181) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ وَسَلٰمٌ عَلَى المُرسَلينَ ﴾
And peace upon the messengers.
Tafsir of verse (182) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ وَالحَمدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ العٰلَمينَ ﴾
And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
