Tafsir of verse (77) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ وَجَعَلنا ذُرِّيَّتَهُ هُمُ الباقينَ ﴾
And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth].
Tafsir of verse (78) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ وَتَرَكنا عَلَيهِ فِى الءاخِرينَ ﴾
And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations.
Tafsir of verse (79) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ سَلٰمٌ عَلىٰ نوحٍ فِى العٰلَمينَ ﴾
"Peace upon Noah among the worlds."
Tafsir of verse (80) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ إِنّا كَذٰلِكَ نَجزِى المُحسِنينَ ﴾
Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
Tafsir of verse (81) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ إِنَّهُ مِن عِبادِنَا المُؤمِنينَ ﴾
Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.
Tafsir of verse (82) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ ثُمَّ أَغرَقنَا الءاخَرينَ ﴾
Then We drowned the others [i.e., disbelievers].
Tafsir of verse (83) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ ۞ وَإِنَّ مِن شيعَتِهِ لَإِبرٰهيمَ ﴾
And indeed, among his kind was Abraham.
Tafsir of verse (84) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ إِذ جاءَ رَبَّهُ بِقَلبٍ سَليمٍ ﴾
When he came to his Lord with a sound heart.
Tafsir of verse (85) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ إِذ قالَ لِأَبيهِ وَقَومِهِ ماذا تَعبُدونَ ﴾
[And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?
Tafsir of verse (86) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ أَئِفكًا ءالِهَةً دونَ اللَّهِ تُريدونَ ﴾
Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire?
Tafsir of verse (87) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ فَما ظَنُّكُم بِرَبِّ العٰلَمينَ ﴾
Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?"
Tafsir of verse (88) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ فَنَظَرَ نَظرَةً فِى النُّجومِ ﴾
And he cast a look at the stars.
Tafsir of verse (89) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ فَقالَ إِنّى سَقيمٌ ﴾
And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill."
Tafsir of verse (90) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ فَتَوَلَّوا عَنهُ مُدبِرينَ ﴾
So they turned away from him, departing.
Tafsir of verse (91) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ فَراغَ إِلىٰ ءالِهَتِهِم فَقالَ أَلا تَأكُلونَ ﴾
Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat?
Tafsir of verse (92) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ ما لَكُم لا تَنطِقونَ ﴾
What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?"
Tafsir of verse (93) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ فَراغَ عَلَيهِم ضَربًا بِاليَمينِ ﴾
And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand.
Tafsir of verse (94) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ فَأَقبَلوا إِلَيهِ يَزِفّونَ ﴾
Then they [i.e., the people] came toward him, hastening.
Tafsir of verse (95) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ قالَ أَتَعبُدونَ ما تَنحِتونَ ﴾
He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve.
Tafsir of verse (96) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُم وَما تَعمَلونَ ﴾
While Allah created you and that which you do?"
Tafsir of verse (97) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ قالُوا ابنوا لَهُ بُنيٰنًا فَأَلقوهُ فِى الجَحيمِ ﴾
They said, "Construct for him a structure [i.e., furnace] and throw him into the burning fire."
Tafsir of verse (98) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ فَأَرادوا بِهِ كَيدًا فَجَعَلنٰهُمُ الأَسفَلينَ ﴾
And they intended for him a plan [i.e., harm], but We made them the most debased.
Tafsir of verse (99) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ وَقالَ إِنّى ذاهِبٌ إِلىٰ رَبّى سَيَهدينِ ﴾
And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me.
Tafsir of verse (100) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ رَبِّ هَب لى مِنَ الصّٰلِحينَ ﴾
My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous."
Tafsir of verse (101) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ فَبَشَّرنٰهُ بِغُلٰمٍ حَليمٍ ﴾
So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy.
Tafsir of verse (102) from Surah As-Saffat
﴿ فَلَمّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ السَّعىَ قالَ يٰبُنَىَّ إِنّى أَرىٰ فِى المَنامِ أَنّى أَذبَحُكَ فَانظُر ماذا تَرىٰ ۚ قالَ يٰأَبَتِ افعَل ما تُؤمَرُ ۖ سَتَجِدُنى إِن شاءَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الصّٰبِرينَ ﴾
And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast
